Opal Casper Obituary

ANNA -- Opal Casper, 98, formerly of Dongola, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, in Anna Rehabilitation and Care Center.

She was born April 28, 1912, in Dongola to Preler and Ruth (Montgomery) Douglas. She married Alfonzo "Fonzy" Casper on May 8, 1942. He preceded her in death March 15, 1982.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dongola. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Dianne (Jerry) Reppert of Anna; two granddaughters, Tyra (Bryan) Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Shannon (Mark) Heisserer of Jackson, Mo.; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Heisserer.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, in Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today in Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Randy Carstens officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Friendship Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
