Robert Gaultney Obituary

CARBONDALE -- Robert L. "Bob" Gaultney, 83, of Kenney, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at his residence in Kenney.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in Calvert Funeral Home in Clinton, with David Taylor officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Kenney. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Victory Junction Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, 4500 Adam's Way, Randleman, NC 27317.

Bob was born July 4, 1929, in Alton, the son of John B and Edna Dunn Gaultney. He married Phyllis E. Huffman on Dec. 15, 1951, in Springfield.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis F. Gaultney of Kenney; two children, Dr. Dianna Gaultney of Cobden and Kevin (Dorothy) Gaultney of Greensburg, Ind.; granddaughter, Kristina (Charles) Whitlock of Greensburg, Ind.; two great-grandsons, Brandon LeCkrone and Shelby Whitlock both of Greensburg, Ind.; one sister, Dorene Smith of Clinton; and one brother, Richard Gaultney of Kenney.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two brothers.

Bob was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of 1051 Mill Wrights Local Union in Lincoln.

Bob enjoyed camping, fishing and restoring antiques.
