ANNA -- Steven Wayne Kelley, 54, of St. Louis died peacefully Thursday, April 17, 2014, at his home in Lafayette Square.
Steve was born Sept. 18, 1959, in Anna, to Herbert Kelley and Imogene Rogers.
He was the loving husband to Rita Kelley; father to Amanda Hannan (David), Michael Boyd (Bridget) and Carrie Harrell (Christopher); and grandfather to Katelyn, Allison, Kyle, Miles, Avenlee and Amos. He is also survived by his sister, Terrie Isom (David) and niece, Courtney.
Formerly the neighborhood office-supply salesman, Steve found his calling working alongside his wife in their company, Specialized Wound Management, and was honored to join the Delmar Gardens Family in 2009. Steve lived for his family, friends, neighborhood, good music and wine. Steve learned a lifetime of knowledge in the aisles of bookstores, but it was his passion as a lifelong theologist that framed his views on life, penning a trilogy of books on spirituality in his final years.
A memorial service and celebration will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, in Squires Annex at 1415 S. 18th St., in St. Louis, Mo.
