I had the opportunity to work with Bill for several years at the Arlington Heights P.D. before he retired. His wit and sense of humor made the workday more entertaining.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Gail, our heart goes out to you. Everyone who knew Bill will miss his humor and "fly-over country" smarts. His love of country and willingness to help others will also be remembered, as well as our fun political discussions. We salute Bill McCratic; thank you for being our friend. Our deepest sympathies to Gail, his children, and the rest of the family.

Bill always had a joke to tell us when he came into the office and if you were having a bad day he would make it brighter by the time he left that's for sure. We will all miss you very much and keep Gail in our thoughts and prayers.
