Lovey Williams

Mrs. Williams was my kindergarten teacher 40 years ago. I still remember her, how sweet she was to all of us. I want to express my love for her and to let you know that I sympathize with your loss. I have no doubt that she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She radiated kindness and goodness and those are very important traits to have. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Mrs. Williams was my kindergarten teacher in 1972. I remember her making me feel so comfortable and welcome in her class, that I didn't want to go home! She also took our class on a 'field trip' to her home on College Avenue to see her myna bird. I will always remember my kindergarten days with fondness because of the love Mrs. Williams had for teaching.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Mrs Williams. I was fortunate to have had her as my first grade teacher at East some 50 years ago. I believe she taught first for just one year, then moved to kindergarten for the rest of her career. I still have our class picture and cherish it. I have many fond memories of my time in her class. Foremost, is the untimely death of my 21 month old sister who choked on a marshmallow, and how she cared and consoled me. I was not LDS at the time, and had so many question about what her death means. She told me everything was alright, and that she was with Heavenly Father and was still alive.
This many years later I am appreciative of her willingness to share her faith with a 7 year old girl. I did join the church, mainly because of the knowledge that I would be with my sister again, and could have an eternal family.
May your knowledge if the Plan of Salvation be of comfort to you as you experience this temporary seperation.
