Cole Lovell Obituary

Cole Daren Lovell

Cedar City, Utah

Cole Daren Lovell passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family after a valiant fight with cancer on November 2, 2013 in Cedar City, Utah.

Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend was born in Logan, Utah on January 4, 1990, the first son of Daren and Cami Lovell. Cole spent his first 5 years in Rigby, Idaho before moving with his family to Enoch, Utah. His formative years were filled with wrestling, family vacations, 4-H activities, and earning his Eagle Scout Award. Cole loved the outdoors, especially hunting, rock climbing, mountain biking and four wheeling. His summers were busy as a guide and entertainer at the Bar 10 Ranch. Cole was an accomplished musician. In 2008 Cole graduated from Canyon View High School, while earning his Associate of Science degree from SUU as part of SUCCESS Academy.

He served in the Portugal, Lisbon mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon returning from his mission he met and married his eternal companion, Taleena Holgreen, the love of his life. His love increased with the birth of their beautiful daughter, Aspen Lorraine.

Cole will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and son, also as an avid adventurer, a tease and a devoted servant of The Lord.

Cole is survived by his wife and best friend Taleena Lovell and daughter Aspen Lorraine. His parents Daren and Cami Lovell. Siblings Kjerstin and (Kurtis) Carter, Adelyn, Erika, Daniel and Kaitlyn Lovell. Grandparents Newell (Deceased) and Mary Ann Hatch, Austin and Meredith Lovell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Enoch Stake Center located at 2233 Heather Hue Road, Enoch, Utah. A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 190 North 300 West in Cedar City, Utah. On Friday, November 8, 2013 the viewing will be held at the Stake Center from 9:30-11:30 am. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Hard to believe Cole has been gone for nearly 8 years. I can´t imagine how challenging those years have been for his family, but I am sure he is looking after their well-being. Those who have passed on are not far from us, but are solicitous for our welfare. I´m grateful to have known Cole, and confident we will meet again on the other side.

We were the office couple in the Portugal Lisbon Mission. Although we did not know Elder Lovell well, we knew him to be a good missionary and a good and kind person. May you be blessed with the comfort of the Holy Ghost as you continue on your grief journey. We feel for your pain.

I didn't know Cole or your family when I lived in Cedar City, but I met him and his wonderful wife when I worked at IMC Infusion Therapy. It was an honor to help in his care. So sad that he has passed but so happy that he is no longer suffering. Praying for comfort for all of you at this time.

Cole was a great wrestler, a valiant priesthood holder, and a good man. He always exuded the peace of good living and gave the rest of us someone to look up to: despite his short frame, he towered as a man. Rest in peace, big man, 'til we meet at Jesus' feet.
