Erval LeGrande (Lee) Bindrup, 92 years old, a 57 year resident of Las Vegas, died peacefully on November 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Barbara Kincanon Bindrup, and his eight children: Diane Whiting, Brenda Bindrup, Scott Bindrup, Jane (Dave) Dye, Barbara (Blake) Ballard, Mike (Suzy) Bindrup, Shawn (Phillip) Borup and Marci Madole. He has 25 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister Wanda Blaisdell and his wife of 43 years, Esther Zobrist Bindrup. Born in Logan, Utah, Lee served in the US Army during WWII. Lee faithfully served in many leadership positions in the LDS Church including: Bishop, High Councilman, Stake President, Regional Representative for the Southern Utah area, Stake Mission President, Stake Patriarch and Las Vegas, Nevada Temple Sealer. He loved singing. He performed with the Desert Chorale for 30 years and sang in Barbershop Quartet groups as well. Lee owned and operated several businesses utilizing his skills as an accountant, office manager and pension administrator. Viewings will be Friday, December 9th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the LDS Chapel, 375 N. Hollywood, Las Vegas 89110 and on Saturday, December 10th from 10:00 to 10:45 am with the funeral starting at 11 am. Interment will be in Salt Lake City on Monday, December 12th, at Noon, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Dr, SLC 84106. Dear Barbara and Family,
Carole and I were saddened to hear of Lee's passing, and sorrow with you. We also join with you, in appreciation for such a man. In our opinion he is one of the great men. He had a profound influence on our lives, not only through his children, but the direct affect he had on us as he guided us in our early years of Church leadership experience. He patiently worked with and trained Mahlon as his counselor in the early days of the 14th Ward bishopric, and tutored him as his Stake President when Mahlon was a bishop in his stake. He will always be remembered as a gifted leader and good friend.
Barbara, we love you and send to each of you, his children, our love for your joyous part in our lives.

I would like to express my heartfelt condolences to the Bindrup family,I am a good friend of Brenda.and was un need of a blessing.At her urging I met with her father and found him and his wife to be rhe most kind inviting people,I was truly moved by the experience.
