Vella Kaye Briscoe

American Fork, UT

Vella Kaye Briscoe was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She passed away peacefully on December 20th 2012 surround by her loving family. She was born in Minersville, Utah on June 19, 1941 to George R Marshall and Nina Rae Martin. She graduated from High School in Milford, Utah in 1959. She married her best friend Carl R Briscoe on June 8, 1962 in Milford, Utah and in June of this year they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Kaye spent the first part of her life in Milford with Carl and their two children. After raising their family they traveled extensively and called Fortson Georgia their second home.

Many things in life brought her great joy, especially spending time with her family. She extremely enjoyed sitting at her kitchen table and watching the birds at their bird feeder outside the window. She also was a very avid Utah Jazz fan.

Kaye was one of Jehovah's witnesses and was baptized in 2005. She was affiliated with the Bealwood Congregation in Columbus Georgia, Cedar City, Utah Congregation and for the past seven years with the American Fork, Utah Congregation, where she had many friends.

Kaye is survived by her husband Carl Briscoe, daughter Nina (John) Bath, son Darrin (Rachel) Briscoe and 4 grandchildren (Hayden Bath, Alyssa Briscoe, Alexis Bath, and Quinn Briscoe). She is also survived by 2 sisters (Caroline (Clark) Dalton, Christine (Danny) White and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents George R. and Nina Marshall and a niece, Keona White.

Services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses, 95 South 500 East, American Fork, Utah.
