Lucy Anna Ruesch Webster

St. George

Lucy Anna Ruesch Webster, age 70, passed away January 6, 2014. She was born June 30, 1943 in Cedar City, Utah to Howard and Susan Crawford Ruesch.

Lucy was raised in Springville, Utah and graduated from Hurricane High School.

She married Gordon Pace Webster November 28, 1969 and together raised their children.

She enjoyed many types of handi-work including; canning, quilting, and candy making. She was especially known for her homemade suckers. Lucy enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Kanarra Mountain.

Lucy was a faithful member of the LDS church. She served in many capacities, as well as Relief Society President, and enjoyed doing family history.

Lucy's family brought her great joy. She loved being a homemaker. She centered her life around her children, grandchildren and serving others. She will be greatly missed.

Lucy is survived by her husband, Pace Webster, St. George, UT; her children, Holly Helm, Hurricane, UT, and Tyler (Ayleen) Webster, Laurel, MD; Stepchildren, Ginger (Murray) Whipple, Hiko, NV, Clark (Ruth ann) Webster, Las Vegas, NV, and Paul (Denise) Webster, Santa Clara, UT; 26 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Lucy is also survived by her brother, Rulon (Clarina) Ruesch; and sisters, Clara Cope, Jessie Lee and Karen Oldroyd. She is preceded in death by her stepson, Rex Webster; great-granddaughters, Havyn Lee Groskreutz and Brianna Van Vliet; three brothers, Howard, Morris and Orland Ruesch; and two sisters, Betty Matheson and Vada Topham.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Middleton Ward Chapel, 807 W. Capilla Rd. Washington, UT. There will be a viewing Wednesday January 8, 2014, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George and Thursday January 8, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Middleton Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. following services.

I always had a good time going to your house with my grandma Vada. And i was always welcome at your house and usually stopped by when riding my bike to and from St. George and Washington to get a drink of water.
