Robert (Bob) Vaughn Johnson, age 80, passed away on October 24, 2015 in Cedar City, Utah. He was born on August 21, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to William Vaughn and Fay Charlotte Christensen Johnson. Bob was a High School Graduate and had an Associate Degree from Utah Technical College. He joined the Army on Flag Day, June 14, 1954. He married Beverly Marie Wright who preceded him in death and then later married Thora Hafen Lang on November 1, 1976. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bob is survived by his wife Thora Hafen Lang Johnson of Enoch, Utah. His children; Robin Marie (Lynn) Johnson of Midway, UT, Albert (Julie) Lang of West Valley, UT, Carlene Cox Lang of Missouri, Robert (JoAnn) Lang of Magna, UT, Beulah Ann (Randy) Chaplin of Illinois, Thora Lee (Brian) Krietzer of Washington State and Kevin (Kim) Lang of Oklahoma. His brother Gordon Lee (Marge) Johnson of Twin Falls, ID, and sister Peggy Lou (John William) McConnell of Minersville, UT. Along with 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Beverly Marie Wright, his parents Vaughn and Fay Johnson, his daughter Penny Leigh Johnson Allred, grandson Daryl Allred and son-in-law Byron Scott Lang.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Spanish Trails Ward (3600 N. Minersville Hwy, Enoch, UT). A viewing will be held prior to the service on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Church from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will be in the Enoch City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Many a good conversation at the house on 9th South, when Bob would come to Salt Lake to collect rents........I always enjoyed his company..........thinking of you Thora.......

My heart is a little sadder to see the passing of our cousin, Bob. The only time I was able to see him was when we met up at a funeral for one of our family members. He always came to the funerals to honor the passing of our relatives. Sadly to say, there aren't very many of my mom's family left. His mom, Fay, found my family our home in Salt Lake City. Grandpa wanted a garage, so Bob built him one. We would joke about it every time we saw each other. I remember him every time I go in my backyard and see that 49 year old garage:) Go in peace my cousin and I pray God be with your family and loved ones.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. The only time we ever saw each other was at family funerals, but I remember him every time I go in my back yard and see my garage :). May peace be with his family and a joyous reunion for him and all the family in the heavens.
