John Key Obituary

John Frank Key, Jr., age 49, of Bardstown, KY formerly of Springfield, passed away at 1:51 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
He was born on July 18, 1972, in Lebanon, KY to Mary Bernadette Trigg and John Frank Key, Sr.
He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a 1986 graduate of Washington County High School, a former employee of the Springfield Laundry and Midwest Stamping.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Frank "BaBa" Key, Sr. on March 1, 2016.
Survivors include his son, Justin Reed (Brittany) of Bardstown; a step-daughter, Tressia Hill of Lebanon; a step-son, Cody Hill of Campbellsville; five grandchildren; his mother, Mary Bernadette Key of Bardstown; a brother, Jeff Churchill (Felicia) of Georgia; four sisters, Shawna Hazelwood of Lebanon, Christy Key of Springfield, Kelli Graham (Phillip) and Meghan Mayfield of Louisville; a step-brother, Wesley Keene (Tiffany) of Shelbyville and three step-sisters, Jasmine Keene of Springfield, Jennifer Keene of Lexington and Angela Hayden (Peter) of Louisville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Dawson, Rodney Downs, Lawrence Lydian, Mandell Porter, David Weathers and Michael Weathers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Ditton, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 9:00 Wednesday morning at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
