Joseph Timothy "Tim" Medley, age 55 of Loretto, passed away Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born Feb. 16, 1966, in Marion County. He was an employee of Curtis Maruyasu America, Inc. He was a former Loretto Firefighter and a Catholic by faith. His greatest passion was his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darryl and Martha Osbourne Medley and his grandson, Michael Robey.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Mattingly Medley; two daughters, Amanda Medley of Lebanon and Ashley Hedges (Dustin) of Taylorsville; 13 grandchildren; three stepchildren, Joey Robey of Saint Francis, Kelly Gardner (Kevin) of Raywick and Chris Robey (Megan) of Versailles; one sister, Tracy Masterson (Joe) of Loretto and one brother, Kevin Medley (Amanda) of Loretto.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Rev. Richard Goodin officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Visitation was 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayers service at 7 p.m. by Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
The services were livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home Facebook page for those who could not attend.
Pallbearers were Jerry "Frog" Thompson, Brian "Shiney" Thompson, Joseph Masterson, Eric Nally, Eddie Smith, Tom Robey, Jr., Cody Thomas and Sammy Medley;
