Joyce Perkins

Joyce McAllister Perkins, age 74, of the Mooresville Community of Washington County, KY, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2021, at her home.
A native of Spencer County, she was born on October 18, 1947, to the late James Thomas and Dorothy Jane Whitehouse McAllister.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and she was a private caregiver.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Paula Denise Sharp and two brothers, Ronnie McAllister and William Edward McAllister.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Perkins; three daughters, Matilda O'Bryan (Brent) of Springfield, Lynn Ware (Doug) of Mt. Eden and Wanda Moore (Cranford) of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a step-son, David Perkins (Julie) of Mishawaka, IN; a step-daughter, Janet Mills (Harvey) of Mishawaka, IN and three sisters, Barbara Jean Breeding of Shelbyville, Sherrell Glass (Barry) of Hodgenville and Cynthia Diana Chesser of Taylorsville.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 9th, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Johnnie Bailey, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Tobe Yankey.
Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Rich Hood, Jeff Ware, Steven Sharp, Keith Breeding, Eric Chesser and Jacob Redmon.
Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
