Walton Douglas Dean, age 69, of Springfield, KY, passed away at 6:20 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2021, at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. He was born in Lebanon, Kentucky on September 29, 1952, to Walton and Pearl Mattingly Dean. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington County High School, served in the National Guard and was a former employee of Hallmack of Harrodsburg. He was preceded in death by his father, Walton Dean on October 14, 1991, and a nephew, Justin Dean on May 1, 2016. Survivors include two sons, Jason Eric Dean of Lebanon and Robert Douglas Dean of Springfield; his mother, Pearl Dean of Springfield; four sisters, Deborah Masters (Danny) of Harrodsburg, Bonnie Smith (Ronnie), Janice Curtsinger (Glenn) and Sandra Gribbins (Kenny) all of Springfield and three brothers, Ronnie Dean (Peggy) and Gary Dean (Sherry) of Springfield and Bo Dean (Vicky) of Loretto. In keeping with his wishes cremation was chosen and a graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 16th at the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg with Rev. Nelson Reynolds, officiating. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
