Shirlee Jones Obituary

Born on September 28, 1958, Shirlee, affectionately known as Shirl, was a dedicated nurse who provided unwavering support and care to all.
In 2012, she joined Kindred Hospital, where she excelled as a Registered Nurse before eventually rising to the position of Director of Case Management. Shirl's personal life was filled with joy and love, surrounded by her family including her husband, Norman Jones Jr.; daughter, Kiana Johnson; sons, Keilan Durr and Justin Jones; granddaughter, Najhae Durr; sister, Letita Durr; and brothers, Daniel and Fred Durr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louana Hardiman Durr; sister, Neicy Gates; and nephew, Devon Durr Sr. Known for her resilience and nurturing nature, Shirl was the rock of her family and an inspirational figure at work. Her hobbies included spending cherished moments with her beloved dog, Sophia, reflecting her compassionate and caring personality.
In respect to her private nature, the family will hold an intimate memorial. They request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the ASPCA under "Memorial Donation," honoring her love for animals.
