Rev. Carl W. Holten, 70

Muncie - Rev. Carl W. Holten, 70, passed away Wednesday evening, March 4, 2015, at the Signature Health Care Center following an extended illness.

He was born on February 18, 1945 in Muncie, the son of Robert and Myrtle (Harty) Holten.

Carl is a 1964 graduate of Royerton High School and later married the love of his life, Cindy (Logan) Holten in 1974 and she preceded him in death in 2010. Rev. Holten had worked in the production department of Colonial Bakery for thirty-one years prior to his retirement in the early 1990's. He was a member of the Heritage Apostolic Church where he had served as the assistant pastor and Sunday school superintendent. Carl was a life time member of the North American Hunting and Fishing Club.

Survivors include two sons, Carl Holten II (wife, Jennifer), Anderson and Brad Holten (wife, Tonya), Muncie; his mother, Myrtle Long, Eaton; two brothers, Robert Holton (wife, Ann), Palm Bay, Florida and Jerry Holten (wife, Cheryl), Eaton; four grandchildren, Autumn, Jeff, Austin and Chase; one great-grandchild, Amiah Holten; one step grandchild, Travis Ray; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife of thirty-six years, Cindy, he is preceded in death by his father; one sister, Judy Matchett; and infant brother, Jesse Holten.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, 3:00 p.m. at the Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle with Pastor Michael Perdue officiating. Burial will follow at the Tomlinson Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle, 3120 S. Walnut St. Muncie, IN 47302 on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
