Doris Pryor Obituary
Anderson - Doris Jean Pryor, 63, passed away on Friday evening, June 23, 2017, at her residence.
She was born on October 4, 1953, in Muncie, the daughter of Russell T. and Lenore L. (Powell) Tyree, graduated from Muncie Central High School and then attended Indiana Business College.
She worked for Anderson Community Schools until she fell ill. Doris enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with her family, friends and sisters.
Surviving are three children, Antoine "Tony" Pryor (India Watkins) of Anderson, Lenore Pryor of Roswell, GA Ricardia Hollins (husband, Stacey) of Columbia, SC and a special grandson more like a son, Michael Hawkins, Jr. (Shawnae Ingram) of Anderson; nine grandchildren, Antoinette, Anquanette, Zykalia, Zyeria, Justina, Antoine, Jr., Christopher, Todrey, Jr. and Jwansa; four sisters, Russell Robinson of Muncie, Elizabeth Tyree of Muncie, Anna Tyree-McCowan (husband, Ronald McCowan) of Muncie and Essie L. Tyree of Muncie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Edward T. Tyree; three nephews, Jorge Tyree, Isiah Gudger and Daniel "Danny" Tyree; one niece, Kimberly Tyree; and grandmother, Essie Powell.
Her home going will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Reverend Edward C. Long, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
