Martha Addington Obituary
Muncie - Martha Sue Howard Addington, 94, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Signature Health Care surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 23, 1923 in Muncie, the daughter of Orville W. Graul and Grace J. (Blansette) White.
Martha graduated from Muncie Central High School. She married Orlie C. Howard in 1943. Martha enjoyed singing music with the Interludes and Masterworks, writing poetry, gardening, flowers, and performing in the Civic Theater. Martha loved her family and her dogs.
Survivors include her three daughters, Carol Manning (husband, Melvin), Janet King (husband, James), and Anita Piper (husband, Glen); grandchildren, Charles "Chuck" Riley Jr., Jillian Vance, James King, Joy King, Donny Hedge, Chad Hedge, and Brent Clouse; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orlie Howard, two daughters, Linda Howard and Wendy Allison and grandson, Kelly Riley.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary.
