To his son Bud: You and I were in some of the same classrooms together at
Anthony Elementary. Your father was one of my business instructors at Ball State.
i do remember him as a decent man. i am sorry for your loss.

If you had known Bud Palmer you might have called him a gentle tiger. He was known to be a noted scholar and a well known wrestling coach. He learned from the best coaches from all over the state, which included Fred Ginter, John Smith and Don Patton. He took that experience and passed it on to the youth of Muncie and Delaware County. He loved entering his Pigeons in tournaments and did well along with watching his own kids compete in the state wrestling finals. He always talked about his family and when he did, it showed his compassion, which was one of his best qualities...This GENTLE TIGER will be missed!!

Such a kind soul. I know he will be missed by many that were privileged to have had his acquaintance and guidance through the years. God bless the Palmers during this sad time.

I had the pleasure of working with Gentleman Bud at Delta HS. He entranced us all at lunch with his stories and travails. It is good to see he was beloved by you...he talked of his family and love for them. He is from an era gone by - nothing you can't achieve if you put your mind to it. No tricks, no shortcuts. The world, and especially Muncie, lost a wonderful soul. Godspeed my friend.
