William J. "Billy" Shroyer, 60

MUNCIE - William J. "Billy" Shroyer, 60, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 6, 1956 in Muncie, the son of William O. Shroyer and Barbara (Thompson) Cope. Billy graduated from Northside High School.

Mr. Shroyer operated Vogue Cleaners for over thirty years, and was also a self-employed painter.

Billy enjoyed boating, working the pit crews with his racing family, attending every race possible, traveling, riding their Harley, visiting his son, Nathan and family in Florida, and going to the beach. Working many events with his son, Travis, attending the many activities of his triplets, Dylan, Calista, and Morgan were involved in. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his significant other (Stephania), children, grandchildren, and family. Especially cookouts and gatherings where he would light up the party with his infectious smile. Billy was a friend to many, a role model, a constant in his children's lives and a hero to his grandchildren who will forever miss and love their papaw and dad.

Billy was a member of Daleville Masonic Lodge #730.

Mr. Shroyer is survived by five children, Travis, Nathan, Dylan, Morgan and Calista Shroyer; seven grandchildren, Jaxsen, Rilynn, Taylor, Jakob, AnnaRae, Payton, and Ethan Shroyer; his father, William O. Shroyer; his mother, Barbara Cope; three sisters, Karen Crabtree, Lucinda Hess (David), and Paula Bolt; a brother, Rex Wallace; several nieces and nephews; and his significant other, Stephania Darby,

He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Shirley Shroyer, and an uncle, Web Shroyer.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Union Chapel, 4622 N. Broadway with Rev. Paul Curry officiating.

Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel or one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, 415 E. Washington St., Muncie, IN 47305 for the triplets' education fund.
