Pat and I extend our deepest condolences. It has been such a joy to know him and you Arletta. I arrived in Columbia in 1969 and he directed the choir at Washington Street in which I sang. Across the years I followed with admiration his work in the community. Pat knew and treasured his roles in the school system, pioneering so many initiatives.
We will be out of town Friday so will miss his funeral, but please know our hearts are with you, the family and friends who will miss him dearly.
