Ashlea Elizabeth Benson COLUMBIA - Ashlea Elizabeth Benson, age 22, of Columbia, SC, went to heaven on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. A Memorial Service will be held at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 5:30 pm. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Born October 25, 1989 in Pittsburgh, PA, Ashlea was the daughter of Elizabeth and Robert Benson of Columbia, SC. Ashlea was a graduate of Ridgeview High School and had recently graduated from Clemson University where she studied Nutrition and Dietetics. Ashlea was full of enthusiasm and loved life. She was loved by many and we will always miss her and keep her in our hearts. She will forever be watching over us as our beautiful guardian angel. Ashlea is survived by two brothers, Robert and his wife Cheryl, and Mark Benson both of New Castle, PA; three nephews, Matthew, Nicholas and Jacob Benson, and two nieces, Kaitlyn and Abriel Benson all of New Castle, PA. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother and grandfather, Sherman and Julia Scott. She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents William and Anna Benson. Ashlea was a cherished and irreplaceable sister of the Pi Epsilon chapter of the Delta Zeta sorority at Clemson University. She loved Delta Zeta just as much as her sisters loved her. Ashlea's bright smile will continue to shine through the hearts of all of her sisters. "To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine.
