Newberry, South Carolina - Dana E. Perry, 78, of Newberry, died Monday, October 18, 2021.He was born in Jacksonville, FL a son of the late Guy M. and Josephine Wester Perry.
Dana was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. His career as a PGA Non-member Professional began in Key West, FL and he served at Mid-Carolina Country Club, Tazewell CCC, Pounding Mill, VA, and the Country Club of Newberry, Newberry, SC. He became a Life Member of the PGA.
Dana was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church and is survived by his wife, Dianne Wicker Perry; step-son, Joseph (Jennifer) Pinder, and step-daughter, LoriAne (William) Lester and numerous grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.

So sorry to hear of Dana´s passing. He was an honorable person who was loved and respected by so many people. A very kind person and a true friend of mine. I miss him greatly and miss our golf matches we had over the years. Dana had a great wit and he knew how to really stick it to me when he wanted to during our golf matches. But it was all done in fun and we had many really great times. He will be missed by many people. The world is not the same place without our friend Dana. Rest In Peace good friend.
