David Samuel Addy NINETY SIX - David Samuel Addy, beloved son of Ralph S. and Cleo Jester Addy, died peacefully late in the afternoon on Monday, June 2, 2012. He was surrounded by his family. David was born on May 4, 1947 and cared for his mother at home until she was 95. After she entered the Saluda Nursing Center he faithfully visited her every night until his illness. After his father's sudden death in 1989, David continued in business for himself having "Addy's Painting and Remodeling". His last job was painting Good Hope Baptist Church where he was a member. He is survived by his precious mother, Cleo Jester Addy of the Saluda Nursing Center, his brother, Carroll (Ellen) Addy of Ninety Six, his sister Wanda (Elton) Dunbar of Leesville, joys of his life, his nieces, Tara Dunbar of Leesville and Faith (Steve) Ryan of Aiken, S.C. and his special buddy Tyler Addy, son of Chris Addy. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph Stone Addy, his brother, Johnny, His Grandparents, Dan and Letie Jester and G.E. and Viola Leopard Addy. Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. James Watterson at Good Hope Baptist Church on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11 a.m, welcome by Pastor Wayne Terry and his brother in law, Dr. Elton Dunbar. Visitation will precede the service at 10 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. He will be buried beside his father and brother in his families burial site at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
