Mr. Bouknight died Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Born in Irmo, he was a son of the late David Walter and Emma Augustus Hegmann Bouknight. A graduate of Irmo High School, he was a lifetime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was the owner of Bouknight and Sons Pump Service and Water Conditioning. He served as an officer in S.C. Ground Water Association, was a life member of Boyleston Masonic Lodge, Ballentine, and was a charter member of Jamil Temple. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and farming.
Surviving are his sons, David Bouknight (Frances) of Leesville, Paul Bouknight (Joe) of Columbia, Mark Bouknight (Chad) of Irmo; grandson, David Bouknight III (Lisa) of Batesburg; granddaughter, Pam B. Lowrance (David) of Greenville; grandson, Walt Bouknight of Leesville; great-grandchildren, Will and Carter Bouknight, and Morgan and Charlie Lowrance. He was predeceased by his wife, Earline Boone Bouknight; brothers, Fred A. Bouknight, Mike Bouknight; sister, Emma "Tootsie" B. Monts.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Generations of Chapin, Harmony Hospice, Palmetto Health Hospice, and longtime friend, Alice Ruth Ballentine.
