Mr. Gissentanna, son of the late Alex Gissentanna and Maggie Green Yon Gissentanna Wright, was born in Norway. He entered into eternal rest on March 14, 2011. David married Alma Lee Jamison of Neeses, who preceded hm in death after 50 years of marriage. To this union three children were born.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three children, David L. (Latina) Gissentanna Jr. of Goose Creek, Larry O. (Gladys) Gissentanna of Jonesboro, GA, and Pamela D. (Fitzpatrick) Anyanwu of Cartersville, GA; one sister, Mary L. Johnson of Blackville; one sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Graves of Manhattan, NY; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Jamison Jr. of Neeses, and Sammie C. (Pernell) Jamison of Brooklyn, NY; and a very special friend, Ms. Alice Pough; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, a host of foster children, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Norway.
Friends may call at the residence and at W.B. Crumel Funeral Home of North, which is in charge of arrangements.
