I just learned of Duncan's passing and want to extend my deepest condolences to all of his loved ones. I coincidentally ran into Duncan in Washington, DC, several months ago, and he was, as always, his delightful and kind self. Duncan and I were law school classmates at the University of North Carolina. We were in the same small section (homeroom for 1st year law students) and both clerked for the Supreme Court of North Carolina following graduation. I was surprised and sorry to hear of his passing. May his memory be a blessing.
