Mr. Mozingo was born November 6, 1946 in Fayette, AL and passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010. He was a son of the late Ernest O. Mozingo and the late Helen Hicks Mozingo. Mr. Mozingo entered the United States Army and served proudly for 24 years until his retirement in 1987. He then went to work for the State of South Carolina and retired in 2003. Mr. Mozingo was a Mason, Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite.
Mr. Mozingo is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jimmie Mozingo of Surfside Beach, SC; sons, Roger Mozingo of Surfside Beach and David Mozingo (Jennifer) of Lexington; grandchildren, Nakita, Felicia and Riki of Surfside Beach, Whitney of Charleston, Seth and Matthew of Lexington; great-grandson, Christopher of Charleston and step grandchild, Heather of Alabama; brothers, Kenneth (Sandra) Mozingo of Alabama and Roy Thurston (Carol) of Ireland; sisters, Paulette (Alfred) and Kathy of Alabama. He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Mozingo; daughter, Robin Mozingo; grandson, Joshua; parents; 2 sisters and 1 brother. www.caughmanharmanfuneralhome.net
