Eddie James Harris

Eddie James Harris SPARTANBURG - Eddie James Harris a native of Winnsboro, South Carolina, was born on August 8, 1957, to the late Henry Harris and Almenia Johnson Harris. He was married to Lee McCree Harris of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was a 1975 graduate of Winnsboro High School. He retired from Martex Fibers after many years of continued service. He leaves to cherish his fond memories in addition to his loving wife, two daughters: Naressa Porter and her husband, Cody of Atlanta, GA, and Ella Harris of Spartanburg, SC; two sons: Christopher Harris and his wife, Tylyla of Moore, SC, and Eddie Harris, Jr. of the home; two brothers: Tommy Harris and his wife, Esther of Columbia, SC, and Charles Harris and his wife, Vickie of Randelstown, MD; four sisters: Betty Washington and her husband, Lionel of Winnsboro, SC, Henrietta Harrison of Columbia, SC, Willie Mae Tynes of Baltimore, MD, and Randal Silmon and her husband Al of Manchester, Connecticut; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Eddie passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015. Final service honoring his life journey will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church 700 S. Converse Street of Spartanburg, SC. Bishop Charles J.J. Jackson will officiate. Interment to follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home, 1833 Tamara Way Spartanburg, SC.
