Elizabeth Greer Daniels Obituary

Elizabeth Cameron Greer Daniels
April 10, 1939 - February 15, 2022
Greenville, South Carolina - Elizabeth Cameron Greer Daniels, age 82, wife of the late "Gary" Lee Daniels, died on February 15, 2022.
Cameron was born at Greenville General Hospital on April 10, 1939, to the late William Keever "Billy" and Ann Purvis Greer.
She graduated from Greenville Senior High School in 1957. In 1961, she earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Columbia College and went on to teach Elementary school in Columbia, SC, Macon, GA, and Greenville, SC.
Throughout her life, Cam was involved with numerous organizations within the community. She was a member of the Columbia College Alumni Association, the Carolinian Debutant Club, the Metropolitan club, the Carillon Club, and the Dorothy Haynsworth Garden Club and supported the Carolina Ballet Theater. For over 55 years she was a faithful member of Buncombe Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Roundtable Sunday School Class.
Cam was an avid traveler whether with family or friends and especially with The Belles. She found great joy in learning about different cultures and bringing home treasures from around the world. She enjoyed entertaining and had a unique ability to make everything extra special. She loved Christmas and the 4th of July and was known for her amazing decorations for every season and holiday. Flowers brought her great joy through gardening and floral arrangements. She enjoyed decorating and loved collecting antiques and art. People will remember her as one who loved to give gifts and surcee's to friends and neighbors. Her fudge and pimento cheese were a staple.
Above all, Cam was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her children and grandsons were her greatest joy.
She is survived by her sons, "Greer" McKnight Daniels and "Gary" Lee Daniels Jr and wife, Catherine; and three grandsons, "Keyton" McNeill Daniels, "Casey" McKnight Daniels, and William "Cameron" Daniels.
In addition to her husband of 49 years and her parents, Cam was preceded in death by her daughter, "Leigh Ann" Daniels; and her brother, William "Walter" Greer.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe St., Greenville, SC 29602 with visitation to follow until 5:00 p.m. in Sisk Hall.
