My dad Roswell C. Wilson DSS was a good friend of Frank´s.
Frank gave my dad a dog one evening after dark. We let the dog out to exercise. Frank called the house about 24 hours later and said " you didn´t let that dog out did you?
Frank gave us a quail dog that was a horse working quail dog not a walk behind quail dog.
When we let the dog out it took off. We finely caught it.
Great man well respected by his peers.

Dr Hines was a good friend and mentor. As one of his residents, at MCG, I was taught orthodontics and life lessons that have been with me for the 35 years of practice. Thank you Dr. Hines for your mentorship

I have wonderful memories of being a patient of Dr. Hines many years ago . Because of him and his wonderful staff, I was inspired to become a dental assistant and later a dental hygienist. I have been in the profession for over 30 years now . He was a wonderful person and orthodontist. Prayers for your family at this time .

I am so saddened by the death of Dr. Hines. He was my first boss after graduating from high school. While I only worked with him a short while, he had a hugh influence on my life and my love of the dental profession. In my 45 years in dentistry, I was fortunate to work with him through other practices, especially in Oral Surgery. He made me feel he confident in my knowledge and help in referring his patients to us. He taught me so much, even sending me to dental assistant school. I am honored to have known him and some of his family. May God comfort your family in this loss and heavens great gain.

What a loss. I am so sorry. Growing up next door to ya'll was such fun and I can still hear Dr. Hines saying Hey Mary Hey! and flashing that huge smile... So, so many memories- I started to write a few and realized just how many there were- the farm, the bird dog puppies, his hat! He was always so sweet and offered help in any situation standing right there in the driveway :) When I was a teenager with braces - if I was outside as he pulled in from work, he would instantly start with that "show me your bite" smile and after I did, as if he'd say "at ease!", off we'd go about our evening :) I felt so taken care of. I will cherish the memories of him and will be thinking of the whole family during this time. Love to you all.

Dr. Hines taught me in Orthodontic residency from 1986-1988. He is one of the handful of people in my life that I can truly say made a difference. I think about him often. I especially hear his voice when I think of his famous saying "bring it to a logical conclusion" when finishing orthodontic treatment. His wisdom and experience that he passed on to me has been invaluable and I use it on a daily basis. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have been able to have such a mentor.

I never actually met Dr. Hines, but I know his daughter Billie well. He must have been an incredible man to have raised such a fine daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Billie, and all of your family as you mourn your father's passing. May your happiest memories give you comfort and peace.

I am so sorry to hear the news this morning of Uncle Frank. He will be missed by many. I have always enjoyed his occasional phone conversations when he was calling "just to check in." He always talked about wanting to come to Texas but never made it. The many miles always seemed to keep us from having more frequent visits, but not in spirit.

Dr. Hines was the most kind and gracious "boss" anyone could ask for. The longevity of his staff spoke volumes about his character, kindness, and generosity. I consider my years with Dr. Hines some of the most memorable in my life. May God's Grace and Peace be with the Hines family Today and in the coming weeks.
