Mrs. Sims,

I just received a phone call informing me of the death of Mr. Sims. You may not remember me, but Mr. Sims gave me my start as an eighth grade English teacher. As a graduate of Keenan, I knew you as the Media Specialist!!! It was not too many years after my being employed as a teacher, that Mr. Sims made the decision to retire. I remember sitting on my sofa cross-stitching him a retirement picture in which he told me he proudly displayed. When he worked at the Mercedes Dealership, I would often drop by to say hello. We both would laugh and discuss his days as an adminstrator and how SMART he was for hiring me!!!!!. Please know that I really thought a lot of Mr. Sims and appreciate him allowing me to begin my career in education. His guidance and leadership has made me a better person and as an adminsitrator. May God bless you and your family.

To Mrs. Ruth Sims and the Entire Family. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. As I grew up in the neighborhood, walking down the hill to my home, I would always look at your home and say, such beautiful people live in such a beautiful home, and I would pass by, even though your husband didnt know who we all were, He would be working in the yard and just wave at all of us as though he knew every one of us. When I attened W.J. Keenan High School class of 76, I can remember working in the Library under you Mrs. Sims, and you made sure all of us had our home work completed before leaving the Library and for that I Thank You so much for taking a part in my life and my education. Please remember, The God we serve does not make any mistakes and you will see your loved one again. You and your enitire family have my deepest sympathy.
