James Lanham Obituary
February 2, 1945 - August 20, 2022
Eastover, South Carolina - James Lanham passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022. Born February 2, 1945 in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late James Christie Lanham, Sr. and the late Edith Hill Lanham. He worked as a lifelong farmer, and was a lifelong member of Richland Presbyterian Church. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
Surviving are his sons, James Christie "Chris" Lanham, III (Jackie, deceased) of Eastover SC, Jasson Thomas Lanham (Stacy) of Columbia, SC, daughters, Edith Lanham, Leigh Ann Yelton both of Columbia, SC, grandchildren, Jamie Lanham (Bailey) of Eastover SC, Tyler Lanham, Sydney Lanham, Regan Yelton, and Lauren Yelton, all of Columbia SC.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward Lee Lanham, Calbraith Butler Lanham, Melvin Lanham all of Eastover, SC, extended family, and his pride and joy, German Shepherd, Lola.
The family wishes to thank Mr. Lanham's physician, Dr. J. Frank Martin, Jr for his continuous support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hammond School, 854 Galway Ln, Columbia, SC 29209
Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
