James Rials Obituary
June 4, 1960 - June 12, 2023
Gaston, South Carolina - James "Jim" Rials passed away June 12, 2023 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Mr. Rials was born in Columbia, SC to Ollie Daniel (O.D.) and Inez Rials, the fifth of seven children. He attended Lexington Schools. He is survived by sisters: Angie Cook (Jerry), Cecilia Reynolds, Jody Rials Hart, and Shelby Rials all of Lexington and nephews: Jason Rials of Taylors, Dustin Rials of Augusta, GA, Joshua Cook and Joseph Cook of West Columbia. He was predeceased by his parents and by brothers William Talmadge (Bill) Rials and Jay Strom Rials. He will also be missed by his best friend of more than 40 years, Jim Bone. He loved classic cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles and was retired from his own home remodeling business. The family and friends will have a celebration of his life June 24th at the family home starting at 2:00 pm at 1529 Jessamine Road, Lexington, SC 29073. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Free Medical Clinic, Columbia, SC.
