I got to know Janet through the Metropolitan Information Exchange (MIX) an association of local government CIOs and IT Directors. It was a pleasure to share ideas and get support from Janet. She will be missed. Photo - Janet at the 2015 MIX Conference, Slover Library Norfolk Virginia.

My husband Kay Randall and I were blessed to work with Janet through the GMIS International organization. She provided wonderful leadership and professionalism in all of her endeavors. I spoke to her back in May as we were planning a GMIS Past Presidents reunion at the 50th Anniversary Conference scheduled for this August. She shared about her leg, rehabilitation, and desire to make it to this Conference. I know she will be present in Spirit. She will be missed but we´ll remembered for her friendship and contribution to implementing innovative technologies during her career.
We offer our deepest condolences to the family and prayers of comfort during this difficult time.

Sister! Mother! And now, Sage Woman as you bear witness to the final mystery! Thank you for the light you shone through your bright, bold eyes! As you navigate the next adventure we'll keep your name alive as the Lakota songs drum on and we eat 12 grapes every New Year! Those of us surviving are at a great loss, and the next just added to its numbers a great light. Enjoy your next adventure! Blessed Be! And for all who read and share in grief, Blessed Be!

JC was amazing! I've been sharing fond memories of her with friends who knew her and those that didn't since I heard her life on Earth ended. As she lives on through memory and through the souls she touched, may All That Is Kind And Gentle comfort those who grieve.
