Janice Guthrie Obituary

Janice Harper Guthrie
December 13, 1941 - August 19, 2022
Columbia, South Carolina - Sadly we are announcing the sudden passing of our mother, sister and friend, Janice Harper Guthrie. Our grief is buffered by knowing that Jan and her husband, William (Bill) Guthrie (deceased 12/2013) are reunited again, per God's promise for each of us.
Jan was a devoted team member with Wells Fargo Financial Services, Main St., Columbia for 20 years.
Jan is proceeded in death by her husband, Bill Guthrie of Columbia and her parents Alby and Hazel Harper of Oak Grove, LA. We know that Jan's angel wings were sturdy and on course to get to her passed loved ones on 8/19/2022.
Jan left behind a small army of survivors: daughter, Karen Guthrie Rambin (Howard), sons William (Ben) Guthrie III (Paula), Stephen (Steve) Guthrie Prevatt and brother Alby Gary (Gary) Harper (Carla). There are many friends, including Bill and Jan's loyal superhero friend, Debra Neal. Deb has enveloped our family with unwavering support and friendship up to the last breaths and beyond. Cremains will be buried along side her husband at Ft. Jackson VA Cemetery.
