Sumter, South Carolina - Jennie Linn McLaurin Duffie, beloved wife of retired Brigadier General John B. Duffie for more than 65 years, died on December 13, 2025.
Born August 2, 1942, in Sumter, she was the daughter of Hugh McLaurin, Jr. and Louise Nettles McLaurin.
Survivors include her husband, John B. Duffie; two daughters, Louise Duffie Glover (Ron) and Linn Duffie Richardson; one son, John B. Duffie III (Kelly); four grandchildren, Will Richardson (Rebekah), Jennie Linn Richardson, John Blake Duffie (Zoe), and Taylor Duffie; one great-grandchild, William Shepherd Richardson; and numerous loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by devoted caregivers, Mrs. Willie Mae Cokley and Nicey Bossard.
