Mr. Skrivan was born in Binghamton, N.Y., a son of the late Augustine and Marie Naplava Skrivan. He received a B.S. from the Bryant College of Business Administration and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War. His many endeavors included an Executone franchise in New York, former owner of The Deacon’s Bench, Johnson City, N.Y., D.J.’s Private Club, Columbia, and Bogey’s Restaurant and Pub, West Columbia.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Zeigler Skrivan; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris A. (Deborah) Skrivan of Columbia, Ted Roger (Arlette) Skrivan of Pueblo West, CO.; stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Donna Jewell (Erik) Lifchez, Gay Jewell (Darrell) Hudson, all of Lexington; five grandchildren, Caitlin, Erin, Alexis, Colby and Audrianna Skrivan; nine step-grandchildren; many other beloved relatives; and his precious four-legged “baby” Peparoni.
Mr. Skrivan was predeceased by brothers, Augustine and Miroslav Skrivan.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2008, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home thirty minutes prior to the service.
