Jonathan McCray Obituary

Jonathan McCray COLUMBIA - Jonathan McCray, born on July 10, 1948 in St. Stephen, SC, died on December 14, 2012 in Columbia, SC. Jonathan was a US Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He attended Temple University and Antioch University. Jonathan previously served as Executive Director of Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority, Florence, SC. He also founded the Aki-Wa Foundation, Inc. - STED, with a mission to promote highway Safety Through Engineering and Design. He is survived by his wife, Latika Bali; his daughter, Jiya Mila Bali McCray; his mother and seven siblings. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2012, 12 Noon, at Strawberry Foundation Hall, 3022 Old Highway 52, Moncks Corner, SC. Entombment with military honors will in Westview Cemetery, 1010 Cooper Store Rd., Moncks Corner, SC. Arrangements by GETHERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 200 Grace St., Moncks Corner, SC, (843) 761-8519.
