Joseph Lemon Obituary
June 20, 1985 - July 8, 2025
Columbia, South Carolina - Joseph Winston Lemon, 40, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. Born on June 20, 1985 in Columbia, SC, he was the second of three sons. Joseph attended Cardinal Newman School, Heathwood Hall, and graduated from the University of South Carolina. He was a dedicated salesman for several companies and thrived working with people.
Joseph made everyone he met feel loved and important. He truly never met a stranger. Joseph cared for his family deeply and had a special relationship with each and every member. Joseph was a proud father and loved no one more than his daughter, Lilly.
Joseph is survived by his daughter, Lillian Grace Lemon; mother, Lynn Snitzer Lemon; father, James Lemon (Karrie); brother, James Davis Lemon (Catherine); maternal grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Hallman Snitzer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew. He was predeceased by his brother, Joshua Warren Lemon; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodman Lemon; and maternal grandfather, Dr. Joseph A. Snitzer III.
A gathering for friends and family will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at The Rockbridge Club, 4135 Rockbridge Rd, Columbia SC from 2:00 until 4:30 p.m. A private graveside service will be held prior to the gathering.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to University of South Carolina's Friends of the School of Music or in lieu of donations you can support some of his favorite small businesses in Columbia such as Papa Jazz and Andy's Deli.

Dear Lemon family,
Our hearts are broken to hear of Joseph´s passing. We loved all 3 of your boys, and please know our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. Joseph was so funny, and he always made me laugh in class. I could never get mad at him bc he had such a sweet soul.
