Gaston, South Carolina - Joyce Temple Boyce (82) of Gaston, SC was born in Columbia, NC on November 7, 1942, and departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born to Amer Cowell and Martha Gibbs of Columbia, NC. She was the oldest of three children.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; sister; brother, and one grandson.
Joyce had a green thumb and loved gardening. She loved her dog, Mia, her chickens and there wasn't a stray cat that didn't have her address.
Joyce is survived by: her children, Deborah Apodaca, Stevie Ainsley, Bridgett Smith, and Dennis Boyce; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Ms. Joyce was my dear friend´s grandmother. She was always kind to me, and I´m grateful to have met her several times. My condolences to her loved ones.
