To the Family and Friends of Joyce,

I add my condolences at the news of her death. She was a lovely person and excellent musician and offered her musical gifts to the worship life of Redeemer Lutheran Church for a number of years. It was a great privilege to work with her in our seasonal brass ensemble and she will be deeply missed.

Joyce will be missed by all her friends in the Columbia Community Concert Band. I will remember her sitting next to me in the French Horn section, adding her exceptional talents to our section and the band. I know you are in a band in Heaven!

I am shocked and saddened by the news of Joyce's passing. We became Facebook friends last year (after having been in band together in high school and MJC) and everything in her life looked good; her dogs, her music. Joyce was definitely a remarkable musician and a good friend. It's always a shock when you find out about an old friend passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. God Bless you Joyce.

I loved all of the musicial experiences I had with Joyce, all the summer musicals at MJC, her starting a jazz band when Farrel wouldn't, my first brass quintet experience. I never really knew if she LIKED us calling her "Sarge," or not. RIP old friend. God's brass band is better off with your sweet cornet sound....
