Lexington, South Carolina - Kathleen Nicole "Kat" Ellis, 38, passed away on October 24, 2025, at MUSC in Charleston, South Carolina, after a brief illness.

Born on September 16, 1987, in West Columbia, South Carolina, Kathleen was the daughter of Doris Jordan and Timothy Ellis. She grew up in the Midlands and graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School in Cayce, South Carolina, where she was active in band and the flag line.

Kathleen spent much of her professional life working in the restaurant industry as a server and waitress. Most recently, she worked at Ruby Tuesday in West Columbia. In her free time, Kat enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She expressed her creativity and artistic ability through sketching, drawing, and crafting. She loved dancing, the holidays, animals, and nature. She also had an appreciation for all kinds of music.

Kathleen grew up attending Northside Baptist Church with her family. At an early age, she placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Harvey and Doris Walker; her paternal grandparents, Frank and Ruth Ellis; and her uncle, David Walker.

Kathleen is lovingly remembered by her mother, Doris Jordan; and her husband, Ron; her father, Tim Ellis, and his wife, Cynthia; and her brother, Jason Ellis. Kat also leaves behind many friends, co-workers, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved nephew Oliver - all of whom held special places in her heart. To those who knew her, Kat was a loving, loyal, and faithful friend.

A private family service will be held to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Kathleen's memory to Pets Inc. in West Columbia, Sistercare Inc. in Cayce, or to a ministry or charity of your choice.
