Leland,The first time I met you I fell head over heels in love with you.You were the greatest musician I have ever heard besides my brother.Put the two of you together and you could not be beat.I am so glad we kept in touch over the years and had no bitterness toward each other after the divorce.Two weeks ago when you called I never thought that would be the last time I would speak with you.I appreciate you telling me how much you love me and the feeling was mutual and you will always live on in my heart.I am thankful for all the years we had together and for meeting the rest of your family,all of you were the absolute greatest.May you rest in peace and God has a wonderful band in Heaven now.You,Mark and Jerry.

Will surely miss seeing Leland on the mill hill. Leland's parents were good friends with my aunts Esther and Lena Mooneyhan and Leland and I would play together whenever we were in town. A very lively, entertaining person, great musician. Lived his life as he wanted, but always had a kind word. My sincerest condolences to Byron and Ann.

Leland,I met you in 1982.On May 7,1983 you became my stepfather.sadly you and mama divorced in 1990.the one thing i will remember the most about you is you being a father to me that you did not have to be.you were there for me in my years grwoing up.i was blessed to have you in my life.as well as the rest of the rexford's.i am thankful we kept in touch over the years.you were a gifted musician.i will never forget you and love you.i wish i would have told you what a great dad you were to me.but i know you know, and you know how much i love you and will miss you.
