Lisa Hopper Obituary

Lisa Vannerson Hopper MONTANA - A Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Lisa Vannerson Hopper will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20th at 11:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal) at 1512 Blanding Street in Columbia. Ms. Hopper died on Monday, September 10, 2018 in Montana, where she lived with her husband, Arthur William Walters. She was born August 14, 1968 at Columbia, South Carolina to Don and Elizabeth (Vannerson) Hopper. Lisa received a BA in Journalism and a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She was a tireless advocate for those who sometimes needed support or a voice. During her career, she worked with a number of human service organizations, with particular focus for people facing challenges. Lisa was preceded in death by father Don Thomas Hopper, grandparents Bob and Helen Vannerson, William and Opal Hopper. Survivors include her husband Arthur Walters, Eureka, MT; mother Elizabeth (BJ) Vannerson Hopper, Lake Murray, SC; a brother, David McNeely Hopper and wife Molly Walton Hopper and their daughter Jocelyn Rebecca Hopper all of Bocas del Toro, Panama; grandmother Mary Elizabeth Erskine Floyd, Lake Murray, SC and also uncles, an aunt and cousins. Memorials may be made to the Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter, PO Box 1815, Eureka, MT 59917 or to St. Michael and All Angels Church, 211 1st Ave. W, Eureka, MT 59917.
