Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. H. Larry Jones and Rev. Steve Baughman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 9:30 a.m.
Mrs. Estridge was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Edgar A. and Frances Williams Hoffman. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She had retired from Fruit of the Loom. She enjoyed baking cakes.
Survivors include her husband, Harold W. Estridge of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law: Annette and Lamar Bodiford of Pawley’s Island, and Alecia and Jerry Eddins of Swansea; three grandsons and their wives: Scott and Melanie Bodiford, Clay and Sheila Bodiford, and Jason and Laurel Eddins; six great-grandchildren, three sisters: Beatrice Craft of Swansea, and Leitha Jeffcoat and Louise Graves, both of Gaston; and a brother, Rhine Hoffman of North.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sardis Baptist Church prior to the service, and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Eddins, 724 Center Hill Road, Swansea. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church, or to the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

I am so sorry you have lost such a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and even mother-in-law. I always enjoyed conversations with her and hearing her "poignant" opinions. Also, her 12-layer chocolate cakes will be missed.
