Michael Shumpert Obituary

Rev. Michael Franklyn Schumpert ISLE OF PALMS - Rev. Michael Franklyn Schumpert, 71, of Isle of Palms, SC, entered eternal rest on July 30, 2018, after a long illness. He was the beloved and loving husband of Anne Keels Schumpert for nearly 49 years, and the beloved and loving father of Michael Franklyn, Jr., and Joseph Emmanuel (Mannie). He leaves behind daughter-in-law, Cindy, and granddaughter Sarah Grace. Also surviving are his sisters Mary Helen Tidwell and Sharon Schumpert along with nieces and nephews. He lived for a number of years in Cayce, McClellanville, and Summerton, SC. Mike's gifts of singing, sense of humor, creativity, wisdom, and more will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, August 19, at Isle of Palms Baptist Church. Instead of flowers the family and Mike would appreciate a donation to a dog or wildlife rescue organization or no-kill shelter. (Num. 6:24-26) "May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace."
