Dear Mr Pearly's family,
I worked with Mr Pearly around 1988-1990 at the Myrtle Beach Speedway. He was always such a joy to be around and always had a joke to tell. I thought very highly of him.
May God bless you in this time of sorrow. May your memories keep him alive in your heart, and help you get through the coming days of loss and remorse. Mr Pearly would not want you to dwell on your loss but lift him up in laughter and treasured times spent. He was just that kind of man.....good, kind, and a joy.
Sincerely, Cheryl Langston

To the Britt family,
My heart and prayers are with all of you during this time. Please always remember the great things Pearly represented and the joy he brought to so many. I have always held Pearly in the greatest regard and cherish the small window of time I was lucky enough to know him. His knowledge, compassion and sense of humor resonate in my memories. His encouragement on the track made more difference than he will ever know.

My memories of Pearly go back to when I would go with my family to Bullard's Lodge and he would be there. He was also a bag boy at one of the grocery stores. At the age of 7 or 8 I developed a huge little girl crush on him. I remember taking him a box of candy when he was in the old Martin Hospital after he broke his collar bone. When he went into the Air Force, he sent me photos and wrote me letters. He made a troubled, unhappy little girl feel very important. While the letters and pictures have long since disappeared, I still have his senior picture he gave me. He was a rare young man to have paid so much attention to a little girl.
To the family, I offer my condolences.
To Pearly, rest in sweet peace. You were always one of the good guys.

Bobby and the rest of the Britt family. Words cannot express what Pearly meant to. As you know, I was his secretary for many many years. He was a great man and a gentleman. He was the greatest boss that anyone could ever have. I miss him terribly. He was at my retirement party. If I can ever help you out in any way, please call me. Please give my sincere condolences to the rest of the family.

We were so saddened to hear the news about Pearly. What a good man, he was! His character and friendly personality was the perfect combination to be loved by all. Before Mom got sick she always spoke of him with love and great respect and was proud to call him cousin.
He has gone to a better place but has left family and friends with wonderful memories to cherish. Hold them close to your heart and he will be with you everyday....what a gift from God!
We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as you go through these difficult days. May it help ease the pain, knowing that many share your pain and loss. He will be so missed in this county and this community!
Our love, Ernie and Sherrie Hinson and Family
