Robert Earl Tarbox

Robert Earl Tarbox BATESBURG - Robert Tarbox of Batesburg, SC, died December 30, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, John and Ernest. He is survived by his son, Todd Tarbox, and grandson, Brett Tarbox, his daughter, Melody Gentry (Dusty), his siblings, Mary Roberts, Polly Alexander, David Tarbox and Claudia Tisdale, their spouses, and several nieces and nephews. He received a B.S. degree in physics from Colorado State University and was employed with Allied Chemical in Irmo, and Columbia Water Treatment Plant. He also taught high school physics for several years. He later worked as a carpenter. Memorial service will be January 14, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Columbia First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 243 Riverchase Way, Lexington, SC 29072.
