Rosamond Taube

Irmo, South Carolina - Rosamond 'Ro' O'Young Taube passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 following a sudden illness.
Ro was born in Taipei, Taiwan to Kate and Hugh H. O'Young. She graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana campus in 1978. Following several years with the City of Chicago Architect's Office, she joined Policy Management Systems Corporation in 1985 as a Facilities Designer and continued there for approximately 16 years.
She was creative, understood people in an understated way and will be greatly missed. Ro enjoyed her circle of friends, jewelry and quilt design, reading novels, and international travel. Ro was eagerly anticipating her next jaunt following the lifting of current restrictions.
Rosamond is survived by her husband Paul; her mother Kate O'Young; her sisters Rosalind (Dieter) Galla-Barth; Madeline (Denny) Lam; and Mignon (Oliver) Shay and their daughter Eveline.
Cremation was chosen. A private celebration of life and scattering of ashes will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Paul, Rosamond was one of the sweetest, smartest people that I have ever known. Paul, I am so devastated at your loss. Our friendship since mid 1990´s has been such endearing memories. I remember her jolliness and laughter every time we got together - shopping, foodies, jokes.
